Application Infrastructure Engineer

Application Infrastructure Engineer | Web, OpenShift & GKE A leading financial organization in Central Israel is looking for an experienced Application Infrastructure Engineer to join its enterprise application infrastructure and systems team. This hands-on role focuses on the implementation, maintenance, availability, and operational support of Web, Application, and telephony platforms across on-premises and cloud environments. You will work closely with Development, QA, and external vendors, supporting application deployments, infrastructure operations, automation, and the reliability of business-critical systems. What You'll Do Manage and maintain Web and Application Server environments, including WebSphere, IIS, Apache/Tomcat, and PHP-based applications Support the implementation and ongoing operation of Web, Application, and telephony platforms Coordinate application deployments, version releases, and post-deployment validation Ensure the availability and operational stability of application infrastructure Provide technical support and infrastructure guidance to Development, QA, and external vendors Develop and maintain Jenkins pipelines for application deployment processes Write scripts and automation solutions using Bash, PowerShell, Perl, VB, and Terraform as needed Work with different operating systems and cloud infrastructure environments Support application infrastructure running on OpenShift and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) Prepare technical documentation, operational procedures, and maintenance guidelines Work with internet-facing security and networking components Investigate and resolve infrastructure-related application issues Support operational requirements outside standard working hours when needed What We're Looking For Experience working with Web and Application Server technologies , such as WebSphere, IIS, Apache/Tomcat, and PHP environments Hands-on experience with OpenShift Hands-on experience with Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) Knowledge of cloud technologies and application infrastructure Experience working with different operating systems Experience writing scripts using PowerShell, VB, Perl, and/or Bash Familiarity with internet security and networking technologies Ability to write technical documentation and operational procedures Strong independent learning capabilities and ability to work across multiple technical teams Willingness to support demanding operational environments, including occasional work outside regular business hours Advantages Familiarity with DevOps practices and methodologies Familiarity with IBM security products Relevant academic degree Central Israel | Full-time
