Hi-tech salaries in Israel, by role
Salary bands for 20 roles in Israeli hi-tech, by seniority, read from 4 published salary tables. Each role page shows every table separately, because they disagree.
The figures are gathered from salary tables published by leading Israeli job boards and recruitment firms. Each role page shows what every source says separately, beside its name and its method — the sources reach different figures, so no average is published here. The number beside each role is how many jobs are open for it right now.

Questions about pay in this market
What does hi-tech pay in Israel?
The one official figure worth pointing at is the Central Bureau of Statistics': ₪31,332 gross per month, averaged per employee job in the hi-tech branches, for 11/2025. The wording matters — that is an average per employee JOB, not per employee, so a half-time post counts as a post and drags the average below what a full-time salary looks like. It describes the sector, not an offer for any particular role.
Why do Israeli job ads not say what they pay?
Because almost no employer does, and that is measured rather than assumed. Of 5,662 open postings that carry a description, 6 state a figure or a range — 0.11%. Employers give competitive pressure and room to negotiate as the reasons; the practical result is an Israeli job market that publishes almost no pay at all.
Where is there a hi-tech salary table by role and seniority?
Here, on each role's page. Every role listed above has a page with its salary bands by seniority — 0-2 years, 3-5 years, 6+ years and management — as published by TechJob, Dialog, AllJobs, Drushim (data by JobInfo). Those tables appear in different places and different formats; here they are lined up by the same role and the same seniority, each on its own row with a link to the source, so they can be compared at a glance.
How do you know what each role pays?
We do not measure per-role pay and we publish no estimate of our own. What the role pages show is what each published Israeli salary table says about that role, by seniority — every table on its own row, with the publisher's name, its method and a link to the source. The tables reach different figures, sometimes 2x apart for the same job, so there is no average here: the sources are panels nobody can reproduce, recruiter tables with no sample size, and sites carrying self-reported pay. What we did measure ourselves is how often a posting states pay at all — a number nobody else in this market publishes.
Why not just average the salary sites together?
Because they do not measure the same thing. The CBS figure is a gross monthly wage per employee job; international sites often report total compensation including equity, sometimes in dollars; recruiter tables state no sample or method at all. An average of those three is a number with no unit, appearing in no publication, that no reader can trace to a source. So the table here shows each source on its own row, with its basis and its date, and computes nothing between them.
Where can I see what a specific job pays?
Only in the posting itself, when the employer chose to write it — which, as above, is rare. You can search the open roles here and open the employer's original posting; if a figure is there, it is in their own text. We never add a pay field of our own to any listing.
For context, not per role: the Central Bureau of Statistics measured an average gross wage of ₪31,332 per employee job across the hi-tech branches in 11/2025. That describes the whole sector, not any one job. Release 039/2026 · How these numbers are produced
