Engineering Team Lead- Core Experience

We are looking for a Backend Team Lead to lead our App & Integration team , which builds and maintains the shared backend infrastructure that powers Pango's products. Our development teams work across different product domains, and the App & Integration team provides the core services they all rely on. These include authentication, API gateway, session management, SMS services, and driver and vehicle systems. This is a hands-on leadership role with a strong focus on backend architecture, security, and scalability . You will lead and mentor a team of engineers, drive technical excellence, and work closely with other development teams to build reliable and secure solutions used across Pango. Lead and mentor a team of backend engineers, fostering technical growth and career development. Own the architecture, design, and implementation of backend services for Core Experience. Ensure high system reliability, scalability, and performance in a high-volume production environment. Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Mobile, Data, and Infrastructure teams to deliver seamless user experiences. Provide hands-on technical guidance, code reviews, and architecture decisions. Align team roadmap with business goals, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery. 6+ years of backend engineering experience, including at least 2+ years in a technical leadership or management role. Strong expertise in distributed systems, high-scale architectures, and backend frameworks . Hands-on experience using AI tools and Coding Agents to accelerate development . Excellent communication, "Can-Do" Attitude and problem-solving skills. Solid understanding of databases, API design, and system integrations. Strong attention to detail, a proactive mindset, and the ability to collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders. Experience in fintech, mobility, or transactional systems is an advantage.
