SW Developer for Test Automation & Infrastructure Team

Join Apple’s Hardware Technology group! We’re looking for a self-motivated software developer for the Automation team. This role owns both sides of automation: designing and owning the infrastructure it runs on, and writing the automated tests that cover our software, firmware, backend, frontend, and mobile applications. You will develop automation infrastructure for large-scale data collection systems. You will design, write, and maintain automated test suites, triage failures, and expand coverage as new features are introduced, followed by practices such as POM and AAA patterns. You will own the physical lab environment, test agents, and CI/CD pipeline reliability. Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in CS/CE/EE 2-3 years of experience as a Software Developer Proficiency with Python, Java, TypeScript, or similar Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines Ability to quickly ramp up in new technical domains and adopt unfamiliar technology Preferred qualifications: Experience building a full test infrastructure for automation projects - Advantage Failure analysis and troubleshooting with high debug capabilities - Advantage Hands-on experience with native Apple platforms (XCTest, Xcode, Simulator) - Advantage Experience integrating AI into testing and automation - Advantage
