Validation & Characterization HW Engineer - Camera & Laser Sensor Systems

Apple's Hardware group is home to some of the world's most advanced technologies, powering the experiences that define Apple products. We are looking for a highly motivated validation engineer to join our validation team. Our group is working on a unique, innovative technology in the field of cameras and lasers. Minimum qualifications: BSc in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering 5+ years of experience in analog/power validation, characterization, or hardware design verification Extensive experience in lab and measurement equipment such as: oscilloscope, DMM, power supplies, signal generator, thermal imaging, electronic load, spectrum analyzer etc. Hands on CAD tool such as Cadence Capture and Allegro or Altiumv Hands-on experience with power domain characterization in multi-sensor systems Strong proficiency in Python for test automation, data acquisition, instrumentation control, and analysis Demonstrated ability to work across the full validation cycle — from test plan definition through execution, analysis, and reporting Preferred qualifications: Proven experience designing validation strategies and DFV methodologies for development platforms – Advantage Proven experience in board EMC and thermal simulations CAD tools such as Ansys or ADS - Advantage Solid understanding of laser safety standards and protection circuit requirements for compliance - Big advantage.
