Head of DevOps | Profitable FinTech Backed by a US Private Equity Fund | Lead the Change, Build the Foundation | Jerusalem About the company and the role - A fast-growing, profitable FinTech company is looking for a Head of DevOps to lead a global team and drive a major transformation. Our trading platform serves some of the world's largest banks, with billions of dollars flowing through it every day. The product is award-winning, proven in the market, and has recently received investment from a US private equity fund that strongly believes in it. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who wants to build, not just maintain: to turn complex, manual configuration and deployment processes into a scalable, automated infrastructure. You will report to the VP and work closely with the CEO. Location and scope - Full-time position in Jerusalem (near the Central Bus Station / train station) Hybrid work available: up to 2 days a week from home. Convenient location with easy public transportation access Salary range of ₪45K–50K The role Lead, mentor and grow a global, remote DevOps team Transform manual, text-based configuration and installation processes into an automated, generator-based process that shortens configuration and deployment time Improve version updates and environment management Establish DevOps best practices: monitoring, incident response, security and documentation Be the team's professional authority: understand the details, handle production issues and lead by example Work closely with development, QA and delivery teams Evaluate and integrate new technologies to improve reliability and speed Requirements - Significant DevOps/SRE experience, including management experience Experience managing global, remote teams Strong hands-on background in Linux Significant experience in automation, including GitLab and Ansible Strong understanding of databases Experience with production systems in a mission-critical environment Ability to lead organizational and technical change, and to work with a strong, professional team Excellent interpersonal skills Excellent written and spoken English Advantages - Experience in FinTech or low-latency trading systems Experience with on-premises environments (or a strong understanding of them) Experience with Git/SVN, RedHat 8, Python and database versioning Experience with CI/CD (Jenkins), Docker and RPM packaging Experience writing technical documentation and release notes Ready to lead the change?
