Founding engineer

An early-stage, founder-led Israeli startup is building critical trust and safety infrastructure for the agentic economy. As AI agents start taking real actions on people’s behalf, a hard question opens up: how do you let them act while making sure every action is the right one, with full accountability behind it. That is the problem this team is going after, and it is becoming one of the most important problems in commerce. They’re looking for a senior, hands-on engineer to build the core product from the ground up. Not a maintainer, a builder. Someone who wants to own architecture, ship fast, and shape the product alongside the founder. You might be a fit if you: Have strong backend and systems chops, and have built real things from zero. Are comfortable with LLMs and agent-based systems, or hungry to go deep fast. Think like a product person, not just a ticket-closer. Thrive in ambiguity and want serious ownership and equity on a founding team. Must - a background in payments, fraud, risk, or trust and identity. The founder has deep experience building in payments and agentic commerce and is now building this independently. Early team, meaningful equity, a direct line to the founder, and a genuinely hard, important problem. Based in Israel (Tel Aviv area).
