VP R&D & Engineering

A key member of the management team, the VP R&D & Engineering will lead the R&D and engineering functions for the Repair & Installation value stream. The role is accountable for translating market and customer needs into innovative, commercially viable products and technologies, from concept through development and commercialization. Key Responsibilities • Set and execute the R&D and engineering strategy in alignment with business and product priorities. • Lead the development of new products and technologies from concept through commercialization. • Partner with Product Management and Commercial teams to define needs, priorities and development programs. • Build, lead and develop high-performing multidisciplinary teams. • Drive technical excellence, sound decision-making and effective resolution of complex engineering challenges. • Support intellectual property and patent activities related to new technologies and products. Experience & Qualifications • Engineering degree - required; an advanced degree in a relevant field is preferred. • Substantial leadership experience in R&D and engineering, including building teams and delivering results through cross-functional collaboration. • Proven track record of bringing products from development through commercialization. • Strong understanding of the water industry, market trends and emerging technologies. • Experience in industrial automation or automated systems is an advantage. • Strategic thinking, business acumen and strong communication skills. • Bachelor's degree in Engineering – Required; Advanced degree in a relevant field – Advantage. • Significant managerial experience in R&D (Research and Development) and Engineering, including team building and achieving results through cross-functional collaboration. • Proven track record of leading products from the development phase to commercial launch. • Deep understanding of industrial development, market trends, and innovative technologies. Experience in industrial automation or automated systems – Advantage.
