Application Development Engineer

The Application Development Engineer serves as an interface between the marketing and the R&D, ensuring product requirements are properly delivered from marketing to R&D and verifying the products’ quality at the end of the development cycle, by using advanced analytic tools Define application requirements based on customer processes Validate new algorithms, optics, and system capabilities during prerelease cycles. Run structured experiments and statistical/image‑based analyses Work daily with Algorithm, Physics, Systems Engineering, and Software teams to translate customer necessity into technical requirements (user stories, wireframes, workflow definitions). Prepare validation reports, application documentation, and evaluation summaries. Train internal stakeholders on new applications Proven research background — experience conducting structured experiments, analyzing complex datasets, and driving conclusions using scientific methodology. Academic background in any scientific or engineering field , including Physics, Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, or related sciences . Strong background in multidisciplinary systems . Strong data analysis skills; experience with statistical/image‑based analysis tools (Excel, JMP, MATLAB, or Python). Ability to evaluate and validate algorithmic (including AI‑based) system performance. Fluent technical English. Familiarity with semiconductor fabrication processes and inspection workflows Travel internationally (20-30%) for installations, support, and customer engagements Important Clarification Coding is not part of the role Candidates primarily focused on software development are not fit
