Data Analyst – Financial Intelligence

About Altius Altius Capital is a fast-growing fintech company building an AI platform for institutional investors and family offices in alternative investments. We analyze data across $120B+ in private assets and 4,800+ funds, and 300+ investment professionals rely on the platform. What you'll do It works over private-market data that very few companies can access. You'll own it end to end: build it, deploy it and run it in production. Collect and standardize data from clients and prospects to ensure compatibility with internal systems Automate data pipelines and implement AI-based tools for enrichment, categorization, and transformation Support onboarding and operational processes with accurate data and tools Maintain up-to-date customer datasets and resolve data issues in partnership with internal teams and clients Ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency across all internal workflows Build the agent harness: orchestration, tool calling, sub-agents, memory and RAG over fund data and documents. Build a modern chat experience: streaming, structured outputs, charts and citations back to the source. Design precise financial tools (IRR, TVPI/DPI, liquidity) and connect the agent to systems through APIs and MCP. Build evals and guardrails so every answer is accurate, grounded and traceable. What we're looking for 2+ years of experience in data analysis, including extensive work with Python, Pandas, and NumPy Hands-on experience working with AI tools (e.g., for data enrichment, automation, or insights) Strong Python and experience evaluating LLM systems. Curiosity about finance. No prior finance experience required. Strong data wrangling skills and ability to work with messy, real-world datasets Excellent communication and collaboration skills Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Computer Science, Math, Engineering, or similar) Nice to have Agent frameworks and SDKs (LangGraph, Claude Agent SDK or similar), MCP and several model providers. React / TypeScript, document processing, or fintech. You will be building AI , and we expect you to build with it too: AI coding tools like Claude Code are part of how we write, review and test code, and you should be getting real leverage from them. In your field, we expect you to stay close to what is changing, from new models and agent techniques to evaluation methods, and to judge which ones hold up in production rather than just in a demo. Beyond engineering, we expect you to use models like Claude and ChatGPT across your day-to-day work. We want someone who follows where the technology is heading and thinks in terms of what it makes newly possible, not someone who has simply used a chatbot.
