Description
Referment is working with a global digital communications compliance company serving financial services organizations. Its AI-powered platform captures and analyzes communications across email, chat, mobile, trade and video channels, helping compliance teams detect risk and maintain audit-ready records. You will join the Surveillance Engineering group, which builds and operates advanced AI solutions with engineers, data scientists and subject matter experts. This is a hands-on role for someone who wants both depth and ownership: you will design and build complex components, drive architecture and technology-selection decisions, and stay close to the product in production. The Role Design, build and maintain the software infrastructure behind the surveillance pipeline, combining classic machine learning and GenAI models with complex business logic and analytical components. Own significant architecture decisions and evaluate and select the technologies the team builds on. Solve complex engineering problems end to end, from investigation and design through implementation and rollout. Collaborate with engineers, data scientists and subject matter experts to deliver high-quality, production-ready services that are fully integrated and scalable. Support the product in production: investigate issues, improve observability and make the system easier to run. Build and operate services in containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes) on AWS. Hold a high engineering bar: meaningful unit tests and solid CI/CD following best practices. What We're Looking For Strong Python backend engineering experience, ideally with machine learning or data-heavy systems. Experience with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes) and AWS. Familiarity with machine learning or GenAI pipelines. A production-first mindset covering observability, testing and CI/CD. This could suit a senior Python engineer from a data, ML or surveillance platform background who wants architecture ownership close to the product. #Referment Show more Show less
