Quantum Source is a novel key player at the forefront of the worldwide effort towards large-scale quantum computation. Based on proprietary technology, Quantum Source is developing a unique fault-tolerant compound photon–atom quantum computer. We are looking for a sharp, driven Program Manager with a strong foundation in physics or engineering to lead cross-functional R&D projects from conception to execution. Role Overview As a Program Manager at Quantum Source, you will act as the bridge between our world-class research scientists, engineers, and software teams. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering complex, cutting-edge technology projects on time, within scope, and aligned with our strategic company milestones. Key Responsibilities Program Lifecycle Management: Own the end-to-end planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and execution of complex R&D projects in photonics, electronics, or quantum systems. Cross-Functional Leadership: Drive collaboration between multidisciplinary teams (Physicists, Optical Engineers, Electronics Engineers, and Software Developers) to ensure seamless integration of hardware and software sub-systems. Milestone & Risk Management: Track project milestones, identify technical bottlenecks or schedule risks early, and proactively drive mitigation strategies with projects leads. Technical Communication: Facilitate clear communication channels across teams, translating high-level scientific goals into actionable engineering tasks and providing executive stakeholders with crisp progress updates. Process Optimization: Implement project management methodologies tailored specifically to a fast-evolving deep-tech R&D environment. Requirements & Qualifications B.Sc. or advanced degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering or a closely related technical discipline. 7+ years of experience as a Technical Project Manager, Program Manager, or Systems Engineer managing complex, hardware-oriented R&D projects (semiconductors, optics, photonics, medical devices, or deep-tech hardware preferred). Ability to deeply understand complex scientific and engineering discussions, read architectural designs, and actively engage with technical tradeoffs. Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills; highly proactive, autonomous, and capable of driving alignment across diverse technical personalities. Preferred Qualifications Experience working in photonics, quantum computing, or high-precision optical/electronic systems.
