Senior DevOps Engineer

A startup in the Endpoint Security space is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join a hands-on role with broad ownership over the company’s DevOps domain. We’re looking for someone who can take true ownership of the area: deeply understand the existing infrastructure, identify what needs to change, set priorities, and lead projects end-to-end. The company already has an active production environment, but there is plenty of room for building, refactoring, and improving, with a high degree of professional freedom and direct impact on how the infrastructure evolves. What will you do? Take professional ownership of the DevOps domain and work directly with the development leadership Own the company’s AWS environment and Production infrastructure Work extensively with Kubernetes, ArgoCD, and GitOps Build and manage infrastructure using Terraform or a similar IaC tool Build and improve CI/CD processes using GitHub Actions Own Monitoring, Observability, Dashboards, and Alerting Work with Kafka and RDS in a Production environment Evaluate and improve the existing architecture, including refactoring infrastructure that no longer meets the company’s needs Build tools and infrastructure that improve Developer Experience and enable development teams to work more independently and efficiently Set up and manage cloud-based development environments Own Self-hosted infrastructure used for CI processes Take part in building a BYOC solution, enabling parts of the system to run in the customer’s cloud environment Participate in an On-call rotation with one additional team member. Most application-level alerts are handled by the development teams, so this is a relatively light on-call rotation Must-have requirements 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Infrastructure, or SRE Deep hands-on experience with AWS and broad knowledge of cloud services Significant experience with Kubernetes in a Production environment Experience with ArgoCD and GitOps Experience building CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions Experience with Terraform or a similar Infrastructure as Code tool Significant experience with Monitoring and Observability Experience working with Kafka in Production - mandatory Experience with AWS RDS Experience leading projects and infrastructure initiatives end-to-end Ability to work independently, make decisions, and build a roadmap Strong technical depth, sharp problem-solving skills, and the ability to quickly learn new technologies and domains Significant advantages Experience building infrastructure or systems from scratch Experience in a startup or a small DevOps team with broad responsibilities Previous experience as a Team Lead, Tech Lead, or in a technical leadership role Previous software development experience Experience in a cybersecurity company and familiarity with Security and SecOps Experience with ClickHouse Experience with data-driven products Experience with GCP / Azure Experience with BYOC products Experience managing Self-hosted environments Show more Show less
