About the Role A leading insurance company is seeking an experienced Data Systems Analyst & Developer for a hybrid role combining 50% systems analysis and 50% hands-on development . The position combines aspects of Data Engineering and Data Analysis, with end-to-end responsibility for translating business requirements into technical specifications, developing data solutions, and deploying them to production. Key Responsibilities Work directly with business stakeholders and clients to gather, analyze, and define requirements. Write detailed functional and technical specifications. Develop and maintain ETL/ELT processes and data integration solutions. Write complex SQL queries and optimize database performance. Design data models and DWH structures. Work end-to-end, from requirements gathering and analysis through development, testing, and production deployment. Collaborate with development, QA, infrastructure, and business teams. Requirements 5+ years of experience in both data systems analysis and development. Strong SQL skills, including complex queries and performance optimization. Hands-on experience developing and maintaining ETL processes – mandatory . Proven ability to gather business requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Experience working with relational and non-relational databases. Strong understanding of data modeling, Star Schema, and normalization. Experience working independently within a team in a large enterprise environment. Cloud environment experience – an advantage. Personal Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
