Senior Data Engineer

We're looking for a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain modern, cloud-native data platforms — combining hands-on execution with strong design thinking. In this hands-on and strategic role, you'll work on complex data projects for Israel's largest enterprises — building scalable pipelines and data models, optimizing cloud workloads, and taking an active architecture role from business requirements to target design and implementation. You'll collaborate with Data Analysts, Scientists, Architects, and business stakeholders across diverse projects, including design and hands-on work on data-driven AI and GenAI solutions. Responsibilities • Translate business requirements into high-level designs, architecture, and actionable engineering tasks. • Design, build and maintain scalable, high-performance data solutions, including data flows, data modeling and platform structure. • Work with Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, and cloud-native platforms. • Optimize workloads for performance and cost efficiency. • Design and implement solutions aligned with the AWS Well-Architected Framework. • Collaborate with stakeholders, analysts, scientists, and architects to deliver end-to-end solutions. • Solve complex technical challenges hands-on, including leading or contributing to AI projects. Must-Have Skills • 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer. • Strong expertise in ETL/ELT, Dimensional Modeling, Python and SQL with ability to deliver complex solutions end to end. • Strong design skills and experience with Cloud Data Architectures (Data Warehouses, Data Lakes and Data Pipelines). • Hands-on experience with AWS services: S3, Lambda, SageMaker Unified Studio, Apache Iceberg, Athena, Glue, Redshift, Quick and AWS Well-Architected Framework. • Hands-on experience with dbt and Airflow. • Hands-on experience in AI projects. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and system-level thinking skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a highly professional team, with excellent, fast learning ability.
