Senior Backend Engineer (7E02ADD)

Referment is working with a global digital communications compliance company serving financial services organizations. Its AI-powered platform captures and analyzes communications across email, chat, mobile, trade and video channels, helping compliance teams detect risk and maintain audit-ready records. You will join a small, high-ownership backend team building the systems that power the core platform, working mainly on data pipelines with a focus on the quality and structure of the data itself. The company believes great engineers come from all backgrounds and actively works to build a team where everyone belongs and thrives. The Role Design and implement new flows and services. Maintain, improve and extend existing backend services and APIs. Work with multiple data stores, including relational, NoSQL and search technologies such as Elasticsearch. Maintain and build event-driven pipelines using message brokers such as Kafka or RabbitMQ. Collaborate with product and architecture on scalable, resilient system design. Integrate and leverage AI tools in your daily workflow, and ideally build them. What We're Looking For Solid backend engineering experience with APIs and data-heavy services. Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases and search engines. Experience with message brokers and event-driven architectures. Curiosity about AI tooling and a collaborative approach to system design.
