DevOps Manager

DevOps Team Lead | Defense Industry | Central Israel For a leading defense company in Central Israel, we are looking for an experienced DevOps Team Lead to join a large-scale, technologically advanced engineering environment. This is a leadership role combining team management with hands-on technical work , within a broader DevOps organization supporting multiple complex projects and multidisciplinary development teams. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage a DevOps team of 5+ engineers while remaining actively involved in hands-on technical work. Drive the implementation and adoption of DevOps methodologies, tools, and processes across multiple projects. Design, develop, and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines and development lifecycle processes. Build scalable, efficient, and reliable DevOps infrastructures using modern technologies and automation tools. Support development and integration teams throughout build, deployment, and release processes across development and customer environments. Promote automation, optimization, stability, and continuous improvement across the engineering lifecycle. Requirements 4+ years of hands-on experience as a DevOps Engineer. 3+ years of experience leading and managing a DevOps team of 5 or more engineers. Strong hands-on experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins . Strong experience with Git source control and configuration management. Experience scripting with Bash and/or Python . Hands-on experience working with both Linux and Windows environments. Strong experience with Docker containers. Experience working with Kubernetes environments; OpenShift – an advantage . Experience with Helm . Experience with Infrastructure as Code and configuration management tools such as Ansible and/or Terraform – an advantage . Familiarity with DevSecOps methodologies – an advantage . Experience with public cloud environments, particularly AWS , as well as private cloud environments – an advantage. Bsc in Computer Science or Software Engineering – a significant advantage.
