Mechanical Engineer

Uvision is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our R&D team. In this role, you will lead the design and development of multidisciplinary systems, from initial concept through to successful flight testing and serial production. Job Description: Research & Characterization: Conduct in-depth research and characterization of materials and complex multidisciplinary mechanical assemblies. Detailed Design & Analysis: Perform preliminary and detailed design, including Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and other simulations for components and sub-assemblies. Prototyping: Define components and manage procurement for the construction of proof-of-concept models and prototypes. Assembly & Testing: Build final prototypes for sub-assemblies, assist in drafting comprehensive test plans, and execute hands-on testing. Field Testing: Provide engineering support for key experiments and field trials required for design validation. B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering At least 5 years of proven experience in mechanical product development Deep familiarity with material selection for manufacturing and designing for harsh environmental conditions (ruggedized defense standards). Experience in engineering support throughout the entire lifecycle—from initial development to prototype and serial production. strong SolidWorks, including basic FEA capabilities. Strong understanding of engineering quality and configuration control processes, including ECO, ECP, and MRB. Prior experience in the design of Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS/UAV).
