Position Overview The Experienced Software Developer will join QTREX's R&D software team and take an active role in the development and evolution of the software platforms powering our advanced manufacturing systems. This is a hands-on development position involving a large, mature software codebase that has evolved over more than a decade. The system is primarily written in C++ , together with a significant C# and Python codebases, and integrates closely with complex hardware, manufacturing processes, algorithms, and system-level functionality. Developers are expected to make effective use of modern AI development tools for code understanding, implementation, debugging, refactoring, testing, documentation, and productivity improvement. Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and enhance software for QTREX's advanced manufacturing platforms. Design and implement new features while maintaining compatibility with existing system architecture and functionality. Analyze, understand, debug, and improve complex legacy and production code. Perform code reviews and contribute to software architecture and design decisions. Support and work closely with multidisciplinary teams including Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, System Engineering, Manufacturing, and other R&D disciplines. Use modern AI-assisted development tools as part of the day-to-day development workflow for code analysis, implementation, debugging, testing, refactoring, and documentation. Continuously evaluate new development technologies and tools that can improve software quality and engineering productivity. Requirements: B.Sc. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline. 5+ years of professional software development experience. Practical experience using AI coding and software-development tools as part of a professional development workflow. Strong hands-on experience developing production software in C++. Experience with Python and with developing or maintaining Python applications. Proven ability to understand, debug, and modify large existing codebases. Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary R&D teams. Advantage Experience with Qt / QML or other desktop application frameworks. Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, and software quality tools.
