Senior Full Stack Engineer – DevOps & Cloud Focus

Sheba Medical Center is building a new department focused on the future of medicine and the hospital workflow of tomorrow. We’re a small founding team of three engineers who will design and build clinical-grade products from scratch: AI-driven tools, real-time data platforms, and workflows used daily by doctors, nurses and patients. You’ll have real ownership, direct access to clinicians, and the chance to see your work change how care is delivered. Responsibilities Lead the development of our frontend and backend from scratch. Own the cloud infrastructure and delivery platform for the department: environments, CI/CD, observability and security. Design and maintain Kubernetes-based deployments using Infrastructure as Code and GitOps practices. Build secure, scalable and highly available systems that meet the reliability and compliance requirements of a hospital environment. Set engineering standards for deployment, monitoring and incident response across the team. Work closely with the product team and clinicians to deliver features quickly and safely. Qualifications 5+ years of meaningful experience with backend and frontend development. JavaScript/TypeScript expert. Proficient with backend technologies (Node.js, Python, .NET, Java, etc.). Strong hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure and/or AWS): networking, IAM, VPC/VNet, managed services. Production experience with Docker and Kubernetes. Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines. Team player with a great attitude: we hire people who want to make a difference. Loves product, owns tasks end to end, and cares about them after they go live. Nice to have (Advantages) Terraform, Helm, ArgoCD or other GitOps tooling. Monitoring and observability (Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor / Application Insights). Cloud security and compliance experience, ideally in healthcare or another regulated domain. Experience with serverless architectures and Pub/Sub technologies (Redis, Kafka).
