Principal Backend & AI Platform Engineer

We’re hiring: Principal Backend & AI Platform Engineer We’re looking for a highly experienced, hands-on engineer who enjoys building complex production systems across Backend, Cloud, Data and AI . This is not a narrow Backend, DevOps or Data role. We’re looking for someone who can take end-to-end technical ownership — from architecture and backend services, through cloud infrastructure and data flows, to integrating modern AI capabilities into production systems. What we’re looking for: • 7+ years of hands-on software, backend or platform engineering experience • Strong experience with Python and/or Node.js, TypeScript or Java • Deep understanding of backend architecture, APIs, microservices and distributed systems • Hands-on cloud experience, preferably AWS • Experience with Docker, CI/CD and production environments • Strong understanding of databases, messaging systems and data pipelines • Practical experience with LLMs, RAG, AI Agents, embeddings, inference services or AI APIs • Strong production mindset around scalability, reliability, observability and performance • Ability to own complex systems from architecture through implementation and production • Hands-on experience with modern AI development and coding tools Strong advantages: Kubernetes, Terraform/IaC, FastAPI, Kafka/RabbitMQ, Redis, vector databases, SRE, observability, ML infrastructure, Computer Vision or self-hosted LLMs. We’re looking for a builder — someone who can move comfortably between software, infrastructure, data and AI, understand the full system, and turn complex technical challenges into reliable production solutions.
