Senior Embedded Linux & Platform Software Engineer – NVIDIA Jetson

We are looking for an experienced Real-Time Software Engineer to develop mission-critical software for advanced autonomous aerial systems. You will develop and integrate high-performance software on NVIDIA Jetson platforms using modern C++ and Linux. You will take end-to-end ownership of software—from architecture and implementation through system integration, validation, and deployment in the field. What You’ll Do Develop real-time C++ software for autonomous aerial systems Own software components end to end, from requirements and architecture to implementation, integration, and validation Develop and optimize software for NVIDIA Jetson and Jetson Orin platforms Integrate algorithms, AI capabilities, sensors, hardware interfaces, and distributed system components Troubleshoot complex hardware-software and system integration issues Contribute to software architecture, design decisions, and technical reviews Collaborate closely with system, algorithm, software, mechanical, and integration teams Support laboratory integration, field tests, flight tests, and performance analysis Requirements BSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field 5+ years of software development experience in modern C++ Strong Linux development experience Hands-on experience developing software for NVIDIA Jetson platforms Experience working with image-processing libraries and integrating AI algorithms into production systems Experience with ROS 2 or similar robotics middleware; strong ROS 2 knowledge is highly valued Strong understanding of multithreading, synchronization, memory management, and performance optimization Experience with distributed systems and hardware-software integration Strong system-level understanding, with the ability to maintain a broad perspective while diving into technical details when needed Independent, proactive, and able to take ownership and solve complex problems with a Can-Do approach Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills Strong technical English skills Willingness to participate in field tests and travel when required Advantages Experience with NVIDIA Isaac ROS, CUDA, or GPU acceleration Experience with DDS and Quality of Service configuration Experience with Docker and containerized deployment Experience with robotics, autonomous systems, UAVs, or mission-critical systems Show more Show less
