Data Engineer

🚀 Junior Data Engineer | AI & AWS We are looking for a Junior Data Engineer to join a growing team working on data engineering and analytics within the Fraud Prevention domain. This is a great opportunity for a Data Engineer with 1+ year of hands-on experience who wants to work with large-scale data, cloud technologies, AI-powered development tools, and modern data pipelines. What you’ll do: Build and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes, including batch and near real-time data flows. Work with large-scale datasets and develop data-centric software solutions. Translate business and data requirements into scalable data solutions. Collaborate closely with Data Analysts, Data Scientists, Product Managers, and Software Engineers. Design and maintain databases, data models, and data integration processes. Take ownership of data quality, monitoring, and operational reliability. Participate in code and design reviews and contribute to technical decisions. Use AI-powered development tools such as Claude and Cursor to improve development workflows and productivity. Work with cloud-based data infrastructure, primarily AWS . Analyze data and pipelines and help identify opportunities to improve fraud prevention capabilities. Requirements: 1+ year of professional experience in Data Engineering / Data Development B.A./B.Sc. in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems , or a relevant technical background. Strong SQL skills. Experience with Python and/or Shell scripting. Experience with Spark and data processing. Understanding of data modeling / Entity Relationship Modeling . Hands-on experience building or maintaining ETL / data pipelines . Experience working with AWS cloud environments – preferably S3, EC2, EMR/Spark, Redshift, Athena or similar. Familiarity with data warehouses, data lakes or lakehouse environments. Familiarity with logging and monitoring tools such as Splunk or Grafana. Hands-on experience with AI development tools , such as Claude, Cursor or similar agentic development environments. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team. High level of English and Hebrew . Advantage: Experience in fraud prevention, cybersecurity or financial systems. Experience with agentic workflows, AI agents, skills or plugins. Knowledge of Data Science / Machine Learning. Experience with NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB or Cassandra. Knowledge of Scala or Java. Experience with streaming or near real-time data processing.
