Head of Systems & Integration

Who We Are PAYTAG builds self-checkout, RFID, and retail automation systems — physical products running in live stores that connect hardware to cloud services in real time. Our stack spans embedded Linux devices, IoT protocols, and GCP-hosted services. We ship things that exist in the real world, not just in the cloud. We're looking for a systems and integration leader who thrives at the intersection of networking, infrastructure, and hands-on field work. What You'll Own Lead and own all systems and integration efforts across Paytag's hardware and software stack Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise network environments for our products and customer sites Manage and support Linux and Windows operating systems in production environments Write scripts and automations to streamline deployments, monitoring, and operations Troubleshoot complex networking and integration issues — live hardware, live customers Work directly with customers and partners on technical integrations and on-site rollouts Define and evolve internal systems standards and integration practices What We're Looking For Proven experience with enterprise networking and communication protocols — TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Firewalls Deep hands-on experience managing Linux and Windows operating systems Strong scripting and automation skills (Bash, Python, or equivalent) High ownership mindset — you take problems end to end and see them through Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally Bonuses: Experience in a management or team-lead role Hands-on experience with Docker Experience working with REST and WebSocket APIs Customer training and onboarding experience Own a vehicle and ability to travel independently to customer sites Show more Show less
